The political organization will be called the Student Al

of Regents and the school board. Another goal is to re
search and initiate action on student issues.
"We will be acting as a lobbying group, trying to get
students' input into city and eductional decisions," Lux
'said.
The organization plans to endorse candidates in politi
jcal elections and to send questionnaires to the state's
political leaders.
Amy Satterfield, 17, of 2937 N. 57th St. said the Stu
dent Alliance will differ from high school student coun
cils and the university student governments by being po
litically active with the city government. She also said
the bimonthly meetings will give college and high school
students a chance to unite and form opinions on issues.
The Student Alliance still is in the planning stages with
no elected officers or set membership. Lux said a Sep
tember meeting is planned for all interested.
