Summer Nebraskan Thursday, June 29, J 978 Page 3 University News Briefs 'Colonies in Space9 Some visionaries of man's future are predicting that thousands of people will live in space colonies within the next 50 years. The Ralph Mueller Planetarium ex plores these predictions in the program "Colonies in Space." Programs are presented Monday through Friday at 2:45 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays at 2:30 and 3:45 p.m. Admission is 50 cents for students and $1.25 for adults. NASA speaker NASA official Jesco H. von Puttkamer lectured in the Nebraska Union Wednes day on the new age of space indus trialization. Von Puttkamer discussed space in dustrialization and how it can offer a realistic approach to future develop ments in space, including space coloni zation. Von Puttkamer is Program Manager of Space Industrialization and Intergrated Long-Range Planning studies in the Advanced Programs office of Space Transportation Systems in Washington, DC. Brown Bag The third Brown Bag lectureship begins at noon, June 29 in the Nebraska Union main lounge. Keith Prichard of the department of history and philosophy of education will speak on the "Academic Subculture vs. Sports Sub culture in Education Today and in the Future." Hubert Schneider, associate professor of mathematics, will speak on "Life in Hitler's Germany" on July 6. 'Habeas Corpus' "Habeas Corpus" premiers June 30 at the Studio Theatre in the Temple Building at 8 p.m. and continues July 3 through July 5. The Nebraska Repertory Theatre schedule also includes "Sherlock Holmes" on July 1. Planetarium presents 'Cosmic Concerts' Ralph Mueller Planetarium begins a new series, "Cosmic Concerts," Thursday and Friday at 7 and 8 p.m. The light and music show contains no narration as it journeys through the music of Isao Tomita and Vangelis. First experimentally produced for the Planetarium's 20th anniversary under the title "Kosmos," this show has been restaged for this series of performances. The program lasts approximately 35 minutes. All persons coming to this program must enter at the west entrance of the State Museum building (Morrill Hall) on the UN-L campus. All seats for this special program are $1.25.
