'The Body Human: The Vital
Connection,' a dramatic information
al special which explores the brain
and the nervous system through
unique photographic techniques, will
be broadcast by CBS-TV on Thurs
day, May 11.
Based on a visual concept which
enables the viewer to see himself
from a totally unique perspective and
through the utilization of electronic
photography, 'The Vital Connection'
embarks on a journey inside the
human brain, where 20 billion nerve
cells interconnect at 10 trillion
junctures which store over 200 billion
memory bits. It focuses on three very
different people and their doctors
with very different problems relating
to their brains and nervous
systems.
In one instance, ten-year-old Bar
bralynn Roth (pictured with her
mother, Mrs. Zenia Roth) is slowly
going blind due to pressure on the
brain, pathways which control her
sight. A delicate operation removes a
dangerous tumor at the juncture of
her optic nerves.

FUTUREWORLD
It's another classic battle of man
vs. machine when the 1976 science
fiction flick 'Futureworld' makes its
network TV debut May 12 on The
ABC Friday Night Movie.'
Peter Fonda (pictured) and Blythe
Danner star in this futuristic action
drama, a sequel to the 1973 movie
'Westworld.'
The two play reporters who
unearth big trouble while investigat
ing the pleasure-filled playground of
Delos, where robots serve the
fantasies of the world's wealthy and
powerful.
It seems that the scientists (Arthur
Hill and John Ryan) have hatched a
diabolical plot to repopulate and
control the world with lookalike
robots with which they are gradually
replacing their exclusive clientele.
Our two protagonists stumble upon
the scheme and now their time at
least as human beings is running
out.
Yul Brynner also stars in a reprise
of his 'Westworld' role as a gunsling
ing android.
