Duve remains
to finish work
John Duve, UNL parking coordinator, said he
withdrew his March 9 resignation because he re
ceived indications that his superiors would be re
ceptive to a program that would better public
relations with enforcement policies and investment
of parking money.
Duve said the program would be the culmination
of actions taken since he assumed his post three
years ago. These actions include defining personnel
roles, developing more equitable policies toward
privileges and violations and opening Parking
Advisory Board meetings to the public.
Duve added, "My direction has changed ... I had
other job opportunities which were attractive, one
that was pretty solid at the time.
"I actually withdrew from them also," he said.

Local art displayed
at East Union fair
Local artisans will have a chance to display their wares
April 13 at an arts and crafts fair sponsored by the East
Union Program Council's Special Events Committee.
Committee chairman Kris Rhodes said 15 local crafts
men have been invited to the fair, which will be from 9
a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Great Plains Room. They will exhibit
and demonstrate woodworking, macrame, metal -working,
jewelry -making and other crafts, she said.
Rhodes said no students were invited to exhibit at the
fair because it was thought they would not have enough
work to display.
The fair is free and open to the public.
