Indictments Hauppauge, N.Y.-Smithtown General Hospital, two surgeons, a nurse and an anesthetist have been indicted for second-degree assault for allegedly allowing a medical supply salesman with a grammar school education to patch up a botched surgical job. The patient, partially crippled, has already begun a malpractice suit against the two doctors, but credits the salesman with saving his life. Fire kills four New Castle, Pa -A fire swept through a Holiday Inn in this western Pennsylvania community before dawn today, killing at least four persons, authorities said.
