Ford presidency
is class topic
Former President Gerald R. Ford's planned visit to
UNL next semester will be the focus of a one-credit-hour
political science class.
The course is open to political science majors on a
passfail basis only. Enrollment is limited to 200 students.
Students will be required to write a short paper based
on a lecture by Ford and readings in three books on the
presidency..

Tired of pounding the streets to find an apartment that
you can afford? Or do you just want to learn how to
save on the heating bills this winter?
Lincoln architects, realtors, attorneys and marketing
managers are some of the speakers who will be conduct
ing a community forum on how to reduce the cost of
renting an apartment and buying a house.
The forum, "Save on Housing for Better Living, is
the second of three community meetings sponsored by
Family Service Association, It will be at Lincoln High 9
a.m. to 3 pan, Oct. 29, The first project was a fun fair at
Gateway Shopping Center in April,
Lotus Nicholas, casework supervisor for the counseling
center, an association member, said the forum will consist
of small group lectures, discussions, exhibits and demon
strations. One workshop will attempt to answer uch questions
as how to find an apartment, who can help, what to look
for, what to expect and request in a lease and what are
the legal rights of landlords and tenants. Other advice
will be given on how to save money on heat, lights and
water during the winter,
Nicholas said they are expecting at least 200 people.
There is no charge. Participants are asked to bring a
