That's, the admission price to the 108th annual Nebraska State Fair starting Sept. 2 through U at the Lincoln fair grounds. Henry Brandt, state fair manager, said he expects about 625,000 people to attend the fair, almost 500 more than last year.. Brandt said he expects more people every, year. . "I hope so,' he said, "or we're not doing out job." For the admission price, visitors . can see Heritage Village, a tractor-pulling contest, commercial exhibits and variety shows in the open air auditorium. Heritage Village includes a restored 19th century schoolhouse, log cabin and railroad depot.. The tractor-pulling contest will be Sept. 3 through 5 from: 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the racetrack. Prizes totaling $12,000 go to the tractors that pull the greatest weight the farthest. . Farm and sewing machines, pianos and prefabricated model homes will be exhibited, along with the 4-H Club and Future Farmers of America livestock, sewing, and cooking exhibits. There will be free entertainment daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. including dancing, singing and a special program honoring the Danes. Danish clothing and food will be dis played. For fifty cents to a dollar, the Murphy Brothers Mile Long Midway offers rides, sideshows and games.
