What do you get when you combine
ecology and fund raising for epilepsy re
scorch? Epicolcgy, cf course.
Members of Alpha Tau Omega frater
nity and their "little sisters" contributed
to epicology by planting 4,000 trees at
Pawnee Lake Saturday and picking up
litter along the shore to raise money for
epilepsy research.
Jeff David, Alpha Tau Omega's social
service director, said local businessmen
pledged $1,800 for the project. He said
he expects contributions to reach $2,000.
The fraternity worked on the project
in conjunction with the Nebraska Game
and Parks Commission
This is the second year of the project
which is scheduled to become an annual
event, David said. Alpha Tau Omega has
entered the project in the Budweiser and
ABC Radio Network's National College
"Pitch In!" Week contest, he added.
