Nebraska's fXi!" regional Star TrekfSckpct Fiction
mini-convention is beaming down to campus.
All crew members are requested to be in their cabins
April 23 at ,10 hundred hours.
Even without pointed ears, Lincoln Star Trek fans can
witness the festivities live, in the Nebraska Union Cen
tennial Room.
Rigel-Five, sponsored by the UNL Star Trek Asso
ciation, will include a variety of activities for fans, said
club co-chairman Richard Heim. ' ...
Although actual Star Trek stars - will t be -unable'- to
"beam" down for the event, Heim estimated about three
to four hundred persons will attend.
Rigel-Five will feature a Star Trek photograph cap
tion contest, slide shows, trivia contests, Star Trek epi
sode films and quizzes, Heim said.
Three films, Twenty Million Miles to Earth, the original '
King Kong and The Forbidden Planet, also are scheduled. '
'The mini-conventions are happy get-togethers where
fans can enjoy themselves," he said.
The event will last from 10 am. to 10 pjn. and will
cost $2.
