Sherry Cole, Fees Allocation Board (FAB) chairwo
man, has resigned her post because the UNL administra
tion office has no proof she is a student, ASUN president
Bill Mueller told the ASUN Senate Wednesday night.
At Senate's weekly meeting in Nebraska East Union,
Mueller said the administration cannot find Cole's tran
scripts and she needs to find them to graduate in May.
Cole resigned because she needs time to clear up this
problem, he said and stressed that there was no pressure
on h'f to quit.

Mueller said FAB will elect a new chairperson at
tonight's meeting at 7 pjn. in Nebraska Union.
The Senate also discussed the senator's appearance at
Saturday's NU Board of Regents meeting. Three senators
will speak for 15 minutes against the proposed student
fees increase.
In ether business, Sen. Lylo George appeared in Open
Forum to report the results of the UNL Student Court
hearing on his case against FAB.
Although they decided against the case, George said
the court told him that ASUN should make recommen
dations to FAB about fees allocation. ASUN counsel
Steve Voigt said he interpreted this to mean that the court
believes ASUN should call for election rather than
appointment of FAB members.
Supreme court okays
faculty bargaining units
The Nebraska Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that
there can be a number of bargaining units within NU and
departmental chairmen are labor, not management.
The 5-4 decision upheld an earlier ruling by the Court
of Industrial Relations which was appealed to the
Supreme Court by the NU Board of Regents.
The Court noted that there are differences between
University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO), the NU Medical
Center and UNL and said it was proper for the American
Association of University Professors to the exclusive bar
gaining agent for the UNL faculty, according to the
Lincbln Journal.
Separate bargaining units for the Colleges of Law and
Dentistry were approved. The question of recognition
came before a faculty vote February 16, 1976. Only the
Law College voted to be represented by a bargaining unit.
UNL faculty rejected unionization.
The decision "rests on our belief the UNL faculty
has a sufficient community of interest separate from
the faculty of UNO," the Court said in its opinion.
