' He said several proposals have been offered but none has been agreed upon. The $2.6 million grant, an increase from last yearns $1.5 million grant, would permit UMA to begin work on or complete seven different courses next year, he said. . "At the level they're (NIE) talking about, we could only complete two courses," Wall said. Although he would not disclose the amount of NUTs proposal, he said UMA could complete two additional courses on $1,5 million. UMA's fiscal year began Oct I, 3977 and the grant extension was made for October and November of last year, according to Wall. Not unusual He said it is not unusual to start a new fiscal year with out a finalized grant UMA develops courses using various lands of media that can be available to others for study at home, he said.
