Seminar instructs students
in job-hunting's finer points
The popular college student attire of

Agriculture 499, an employment
'six&ur, is a five-sesdon, one-hour credit
course for senior agriculture students.

bringing a student through senior year,

Johnson said the last two sessions are
mock interviews with agriculture industry
businessman acting as Interviewers. The
students are asked to wear dress clothes
and act as if it was an actual interview, she
Senior Mary Sokolik said the coursi was
"pretty great," and the Interviews were
"the closest thing to a real interview
without suffering the consequences."
The course stresses that "you are selling
yourself," she said.
"Instead of getting you a job," Sokolik
said, "the course keeps you from losing a
job by saying something dumb.
The course begins the second week each
semester and is taught by Johnson and
senior agriculture advisers.
