Commencement reception
More than 400 bachelor, professional and graduate
degrees will be awarded to students being graduated
from UNL Friday, July 9.
UNL Chancellor Roy Young will address students and
their parents at a reception, and W& recognize students
receiving degrees with honors.
The reception is at 3:45 p.m. in the main lounge of the
Nebraska Union. 14th and R streets.
CEA gets help
Nebraska insurance organizations have contributed
$1,575 to the College of Business Administration (GBA)
far the purchase of library materials on insurance
related topics.
' This is the first step in' a five-year plan for the
Nebraska insurance industry to help upgrade the
college's insurance education program. A committee
chaired by E.J. Faulkner. presMent of Woodmen
Accident and life Co., in Lincoln, is working with CBA
Dean Ronald Smith in mapping out the five-year
proposal.
Faulkner said that the cooperative effort will result in
more and better-trained graduates available for
employment in the insurance industry.
: The plan calls for assessment cf educational needs,
recruitment and support cf additional faculty members
and organization cf additional courses.

Monday, July 12 and Wednesday, Juy 14. The play, a
Nebraska Repertory Theater prodsctbn, wO begin at 8
p.m. each day.
The plot for "A Midsummer Nsgbt's Dream" involves
two pairs of lovers who venture froma castle into a
wood inhabited by fairies. The king cf the fairies is
Gheron. whose servant. Puck, is responsible for much
of the mischief, hence the hilarity, of the play. WEHam
Kirk, director cf the play, said he wO try to "present
the play as dearly as possible," so that even those
unfamiliar" with Shakespeare will have no trcrt!e
following the action. .
