fri&sy,prH30, 1970 pap 19 daily nzbrzdizn Subsidy to fuel buses Although no state funds have been ear-marked for the East Campus-City Campus shuttle bus service for next fall, Ray Coffey, UNL assistant manager of business and fi nance, said he hopes the buses will be financed partially , by state funds. Coffey sail department budgets are being drawn up, and added it will be several weeks before he knows whether money for the service will be available. Revenue from student parking permits and a 10 cent passer charge now pay for the service. Even if the service receives state funds, students using buses will pay part of the cost, he sail. "The question is whether parking fees should support the program," said John Dave, Campus Police parking and traffic coordinator. "Most of the students who buy parking permits don't u:e the buses." The service origsiaSy was financed by parking fees, he said. Duvs estimated the cost for bus service during 1975-76 academic year at $55 00, compared to about $107,1000 in 1974-75. j 1970 SAAB S3.
