The event will be in the Union north and south con ference rooms from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Some candidates wi3 eat lunch or dinner in UNL residence halls, she said. Ron Rufsless, a sophomore journalism major from O'NejuJ, has won first place in the final monthly writing contest of the Vniiam Randolph Hearst Foundation's $87,750 Journalism Awards Program. Kufless, a Daily Nebraskan reporter, becomes the fifth UNL School of Journalism student to place in the Hearst competition, placing UNL 6 of 63 schools which participate in the six-month national competition. Ruggless won for his article which broke the news of the appointment of UNL's new chancellor, Roy Young of Oregon State University before it was announced by the NU Board of Regents.
