April 2 is the deadline for entries to the Mortar Board Toman As Art art contest. Sponsored by UNL Mortar Board and Lincoln Mortar Board Alumnae, it is open to all students. Art work in any media is eligible as long as it is visibly connected with women. A cash prize of $300 is offered, with the exhibit being displayed in the Union Main Lounge April 3 through 8. ' Junior students at the College of Dentistry-UNL and senior dental hygiene students will demonstrate dental activities - and techniques at the annual College of Dentistry-UNL Table Clinic, scheduled for 7 to 9:30 tonight at the College of Dentistry-UNL on the East Campus. D. James McCabe, pro fessor of dentistry, said the program allows advanced students to investigate in depth a topic of their choice and then publicly present their findings. The . audience is comprised of dental students, faculty members and Lincoln-area dentists and dental hygienists, McCabe said. The event also is open to the public. Presentations are judged and the dental student winner will represent Nebraska at the American Dental Association meet ing in Las Vegas this fall, he said. Saturday from 8 ajn. to 2:30 pjn the college will give Nebraska high school students a taste of what uni versity home economics is all about. Lorraine Brandt, faculty chairman for Hospitality Days, said those attending the event may talk with alumni about career planning. Hospitality Days have been going on for close to 50 years," she said. "If the weather is good, we expect close to 1 ,500 people." The cost to the college is minimal, she said, with each department providing displays. Exhibits will be held in the Home Economics Bldg., the Ruth Staples CkUd Development Laboratory, Home Management Laboratories and residence halls on East Campus. Nutrition demonstrations, fiber burning equipment, rehabilitation areas and a fashion show are some of the scheduled demonstrations. A fashion show preview is at 7 pjn.
