Amid a chorus of Auld Lang Syne played by the UNI pep i
band under the direction of Jack Snider, the Coliseum was1
firH with the Huskers holding a 328-184 record far
games played in the old barn.
Next season the Huskers will move into the new sports
complex. It had been hoped the $14.2 million structure
would be ready this season, but strikes delayed its
completion.
It only seemed fitting that Jhe Huskers were led in the
finale by Jerry Fort and center Larry- Cox with 25 points
apiece. Cox and guards Fort and Steve Willis, all seniors,
made their final home appearance in the Coliseum.
Fort, a three-time All-Big 8 Conference selection from
Chicago, hit 10 of 16 shots from the field and five of six
chnr frnm the free throw line. He is the most nrnlific unr..
