The World at War (NETV, 8:30
Local composers
present concert
A free concert of music composed by local musicians
will be performed Monday at 8 p.m. in Kimball Recital
Hall. The five pieces will be performed by UNL students
and faculty members.
Three compositions will be premiered at the concert:
"Trioecia" by Mollie Margaret Baldwin, a sophomore
music major from Lincoln; "Orbes Serierum" by Noyles
Bartholomew, a School of Music teaching assistant from
Omaha; and a string quartet by David Seward, a freshman
music major from Lincoln.
Also on the program will be "Soul Thoughts" by
Robert Beadell, UNL professor of music theory and com
position. This jazz-influenced piece features soprano
Lorraine Beadell, the composer's wife.
The finale, "Time, Space, Color", was composed by
Randall Snyder, as UNL assistant professor of music
theory and composition.
