American pianist Garrick Ohlsson will per
form with the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra,
conducted by Robert Emile, at 8 p.m. Tues
day in the ODonneU Auditorium on the
Nebraska Wesleyan University Campus.
In 1970, Ohlsson became the first and only
American to win the Chopin Competition in
Warsaw, Since then, the young virtuoso has
appeared with major orchestras around the
world.
Ohlsson will perform Mozart's Overture to
The Magic Flute, Prokofieffs Seventh Sym
phony, and Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 1 in
E Minor, Opus 11.
Tickets for persons who do not hold season
tickets are $3.62 and $4.66 (including tax)
through the Lincoln Symphony Orchestra and
at the ODonnell auditorium door.
