Though two months remain for persons to apply for
NU Law College dean, the search committee already has
the names of 85 possible replacements, said Donald
Shaneyfelt, search committee chairman and assistant law
college dean.
In July, outgoing Dean Henry Grether will return to
teaching after 10 years in administration.
Shaneyfelt said the chancellor-appointed search com
mittee must submit less than 10 names to the NU Board
of Regents by March 15. The board will make the final
decision, he said, but applicants may be interviewed by
NU President D.B. Varner, UNL Chancellor Adam Breck-
enridge and law college faculty members.
