Allman performs in Omaha Friday The Allman Brothers Band, pioneers in integrating Southern blues and rock, will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, in Omaha's Civic Auditorium, 18th and Capitol streets The Allman Brothers moved to Macon, Ga., in 1969 after a historic jam in Florida brought them national recognition. Gregg Allman heads the band since the death of his brother Duane in 1971. Other members include Dicky Betts, guitar; Chuck Leavell, piano; Lamar Williams, bass; and Butch Trucks and Jai Johanny Johanson, drums.
