The control center of Stereo Four is an
AMFM receiver thai established impressive sales records
in its first version (the 330A), but has gone on to become one of the all-
time bestselling receivers in its current form, the Harman-Hardon 3308. Its amplifier
section delivers a generous 18 watts per channel, both channels driven into 8 ohms at
40-20,000 H2, with less than 0.8 total harmonic distortion and IM distortion.
Amplifiers with such specfications are usually far more expensive. The control com
plement of the 3308 includes provision for phono and tape deck inputs, front-panel
headphone, tape monitor, and two sets of speakers separately controlled. Included is
a Gamber-Johnson GJ225B walnut-grain cabinet.
