Hotline guides minority students
By Joyletta Woodruff ,
The term "hotline" may bring to mind the Presidents
direct connection to the Soviet Union but locally, it is
a minority student handbook published last year by the
Student Alumni Board.
The 1975 Hotline, compiled by Leanette Logan to
"better acauaint the minority student community wiui
UNL and the city of Lincoln,
still is useful in 1976, she said
Included in the 1975 Hotline are the names and addre.
es of minority businesses, minority professional and re
source persons at UNL and in Lincoln, descriptions
of minority student organizations at UNL and of services
at the university available to foreign students.

'The pamphlet was necessary because minority students fog during the semester-long study, Logan said
were unaware ot Lincoln s minonxy community
services that community had to offer," said Logan, a senior
in elementary education.
Logan, a member of the board's Student Advisory Com
mittee last year, said she decided to submit a request for
funds for the pamphlet.
Funds were used to hire a secretary and photographer
for the publication. 1 '
She said the pamphlets are being distributed to prosDec
tive students to show them what Lincoln's minority com
munity has to offer.
She said she hopes the pamphlet can be updated in
about two years.
The pamphlets are available at the Office of Minority
Affairs, 1202 Seaton Hall.
