Nebraska Center for Continuing Education
"doesn't look very exciting, according to
Senate President Franklin Eldridge, be
cause a scheduled report from the Uni
versity of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO)
UNL Equity Study Committee will not be
heard.
The report on salary comparisons of
UNO and UNL faculty members and a
comparison of support for academic pro

been presented by Steven Sample, NU vice
president for academic affairs.
Instead, Sample will be at a New York
meeting to discuss accreditation for the
School of Social Work, according to a
spokeswoman in his office.

finance, also will be unable to attend the

The report "relates back to the question
raised on professors not showing up for

The Academic Freedom and Tenure
Committee will make recommendations for
a new tenure policy, Eldridge said. The
tenure recommendations were given to
Sample last Thursday for his report to the
'NU Board of Regents Friday, according to
Eldridge.
