Yamaha, a company famed for its musical instruments,
has developed a whole line of excellent stereo components.
They include state-of-the-art turntables, receivers, amplifi
ers and speakers, including the YP-800 Professional Turn
table. Model CT-7000 FM Tuner, and CR1000 FM Stereo
Receiver. See the Yamahas and hear the quality at Stereo

output of 70 watts par

The reason that Advent speakers, largely on the strength of word-of-mouth
advertising, have become the standards of value in the stereo business is that
they do exactly what they are represented to do ... produce the best possible
sound in their respective price ranges. The Advent Loudspeaker, Smaller Advent,
and Advent2 are ready for honest listening comparisons at Stereo Studio. (The
Advent 201 Cassette Recorder, the Advent FM Radio, and the Advent Model
100 A Dolby Unit are eiso on display). You can spend a tubful of money on
other brands, and not do nearly as well.

Yamaha and Advent are combined in our Stereo Eight to pro
duce a superb system for the stereo listener who demands the
best. The Larger Advent Loudspeakers were designed to compete
in every audible respect with the most expensive speakers avail
able. Their useful frequency range is as wide as any speaker's,
with bass response approached by only a handful of speakers at
any price.
The Yamaha CR-600 combines a superbly sensitive (2.0 mic
rovolt), low distortion tuner section with a flexible preamp, and
powerful low-distortion amplifier. The tuner section has two
tuning meters, dual-gated MOS FETs, and exclusive Auto-Touch
tuning (Touch the tuning knob and the Automatic Frequency
Control is disabled while you dial your favorite station. As soon
as you release the knob, AFC is restored, eliminating FM drift).
Preamp section has built-in microphone mixing, twin tape
recordplayback circuits, and continuously adjustable loudness
control. Power output: 30 watts per channel RMS, both channels
driven into 8 ohms at 20 to 20,000 Hz, with less than 0.1 THD
and IM distortion. '
The Yamaha YP701 is a belt-driven semi-automatic turntable.
Included is one of the finest cartridges made, the Ortofon VMS-20E.
