This issue will be pre sented in the form of the pro- fosed amendments listed be ow. All 4 of these amend ments deal with Section F, part 1 , p-f-i aph B of the by laws which states: Student members of the board shall not hold mem bership on the board and serve as a member, com mittee chairperson or assis tant chairperson in the Union Program Council (UPC) at the same time, with the exception of the elected officer from each program council. The first 3 amendments pre sented by Dean Kirby are as follows: I Motion: to request V ice Chancellor Bader to ap prove amendment of the Union Board Bylaws to de lete on page 6. section F, paragraph B. Also to insert in the bylaws as section I, Subsection G CONFLICT OF INTEREST: "The Board may, by a major ity vote, temporarily sus pend the voting privilege of any member also hold ing membership on UPC or its committees, exclusive of UPC's elected represen tative, when the agenda topic is such that a conflict of interest may be present II Motion: to request Vice Chancellor Bader to ap prove amendment of the Union Board Bylaws to de lete on page 6, section F paragraph B. Also to for ward annually to ASUN's Nominating Committee a complete advisory memor andum, stating the Board's opinion on membership qualifications. III Motion: to retain Section F, Paragraph B, striking tha words member," and "or assistant chairperson," and adding after the words "committee chairperson," "or officer." IV Motion: 'To add to Sec tion F, paragraph B after the words "assistant chair person", tha words "or of ficers" and to delete tha word "or" between chair person and assistant chair parson. Also to add the fol lowing sentence; The r Board shall annually sub mit to the ASUN's Nom inating Committee a com plete advisory memoran dum, stating the Board's opinion on membership qualification." The first five minutes of the 5:30 p.m. meeting will be de voted to open forum.
