Feminist Greer
to speak Tuesday
Germaine Greer will speak on "Feminism and Fertility"
Tuesday at 3 pn. in the Nebraska Union.
Greer, sponsored by the Union Program Council's Talks
and Topics Committee, also will conduct an informal
session at 3:40 p.m. in the Union Main Lounge.
Greer has been described as radical pd humanistic and
is called the "saucy feminist that even men like."
In her book, The Female Eunuch, Greer wrote of
women, "We know what we are, but know not what we
may be, or what we might have been. ..women must
learn how to question the most basic assumptions about
feminine normality in order to re-open the possibilities
for development which have been successively locked off
by conditions."
