Photographs by Wright Morris are on exhibit in Sheldon Memorial Art
Gallery until Nov. 16. Structures and Artifacts: Photographs 1933-1954 is the
exhibit's title and of a catalogue describing the show available in Sheldon's
Art Shop.
"It is ray feeling that the absence of people in these photographs enhances
their presence in the objects-the structures, the artifacts, even the landscape
suggests its appropriate inhabitant," the artist says in an introductory state
ment in the catalogue.

the UNL English Dept. this semester. During his stay, scholars from around
the ctounry are coming to Lincoln to lecture on Morris's fiction and photo
graphy. v
