The women's goif team travels to
Columbia today to compete with 14-teams
in the Stephens College Invitational golf
UNL golfers Nan Circo, Jane Deeter,
Deb Benish and Sharon Slattery will
compete, golf coach Larry Romjue said.
Tulsa is favored in the tournament, accord
ing to Romjue.
Sue Luedtke sparked the UNL women's
junior varsity volleyball team to a 154,
15-13 win over Creighton University
Wednesday night in Omaha.

Lamoni, Iowa today to compete in the
eight-team Graceland College Invitational.
UNL's freshman football team travels
to Marshalltown, Iowa Saturday night for a
7 pjn. game with Marshalltown Junior
College. The game will be played at
Franklin Field in Marshalltown.
So far this season, the Husker freshman
are undefeated and unscored upon in two
games against Kansas State (30-0) and
Drake will oppose UNL's cross-country
team Saturday at 10 ajn. when the two

teams cover a five-mile course at Lincoln's
A Handicap foil fencing tournament was
sponsored by the UNL Fencing Club last,
weekend, club sponsor Bob Deschaine said.
Mike Metzger placed first in the
tournament. A three-way tie for second
was broken in a barrage between
Deschaine, Rick Goble and Del Huff. The
barrage, a fence-off, ended with Goble in
second place and Deschaine in third.
UNL's water polo team plays Central
Missouri State 11 a jn. Saturday in the
Coliseum pool. Admission is free.
