Dr. Pat Clare, orthopedic surgeon, will speak at the NU Meds meeting at 7 pjn. in the Nebraska Union Auditorium. The only obstacle is money. "We have some money on hand Bennett said. "If cost and design match, we're going to go ahead." Jack Scott, design drafts man from UNL's Physical Plant and the project's chief designer, said plans will be discussed this week, but it will be 30 to 40 days before a design is finished. Bennett said cost is hard to estimate. Planned location for the bakery is west of the south desk on the south wall of the south Crib, where an Overseas Opportunity Cen ter (OOC) bulletin board now hangs. Bennett said plans include a colonial style candy store front with a display case inside. The Union Food Service, which buys, many products wholesale and sells them at retail, "should be able to provide better products for the same prices, if a bakery is- opened " Bennett said, He said Purdue Universi- . ty, Oklahoma State Univer sity and several other schools have successful re tall bake shops.
