Goalpost opens
daily nsbraskan
By K. Alice Bettt
Good news lor lormer patrons of St. George and the
Dragon. The new Goalpost has reopened the Dragon's
doors with only minor changes.
The decor remains the same including a plush wall-to-wall
orange carpet. Both sunken and elevated levels pro
vide a comfortable arrangement. Although spacious, the
staggered levels provide an intimate atmosphere.
The Goalpost wU serve liquor and beer. Something
new has been added-they serve Michelob on tap.
The transformation from the Draeon to the Goaloost
is not yet complete. The menu now offered is the Dragon's,
but according to owner Lloyd Garber, new menus may
arrive next week.
Lunches of soup, salads and sandwiches will be served
from 11 ajn. The steak grill will open later in the
afternoon, but the do-it-yourself concept has been dropped.
Perhaps the beggest difference between St. George and
the Dragon and the Goalpost is the live entertainment.
The Dragon booked" a variety of groups, while only
country-western bands will provide the music at the Goal
post. It's not spectacular and not really new; the Goalpost
does, however, offer r plausible alternative in Lincoln's
night scene.

Israeli violinist Serbia Luca, with a reputation rtwto by Tad k
as a dazzling orchestral soloist and renowned known for his performances of J.S. Bach's
chamber artist, will perform at 8 tonight in works. Luca's concert is the first scheduled
Kimball Recital Hall. Luca is perhaps best in the performing arts series this season.
