'Nile search'
The true story about the
epic quest for the source of the
Nile River-a. venture which
became an obsession with five
Englishmen and one American
in the mid 19th century is
dramatized in "The Search for
the Nile," a six-part series
premiering Sunday at 9:30 on
the Nebraska ETV Network.
The journeys of the six
strong-willed explorers are
constructed in this dramatic
series. The first episode, "The
Dream of the Wanderer,"
introduces the extraordinary
writer-explorer-rebel Sir
Richard Burton (played " by
Kenneth Haigh). The search for
the Nile's "source begins as
Burton asks gentleman-adventurer
John Harming Speke
(John Quentin) to join him on
an expedition deep into
Central Africa. , 4
The next five episodes of
