    Print exhibit planned
Oriental etchings, woodcuts.
lithographs and drawings will
be exhibited in the Nebraska
Union Main Lounge Thursday
and Friday. The" display is
sponsored by the Nebraska
Union Visual Arts Committee.
A representative from the
exhibit's supplyers, Marson
Ltd, will be present to answer
questions about . the artists,

Although the recitals are
scheduled in conjunction with
the workshop for pianc
teachers, all are open to the
public. The recitals will be held
at 8 p.m. at Kimball Recital
Hall. There will be no
admission charge. -
Fritz described the
workshop as one of the major
piano efforts in the country
this summer.
; "We've been remiss in
supplying this sort of thing for
teachers, he noted.
: Johb Moran, director of the
UN-L School of Music, said the
workshop is an effort to
provide training for teachers
. who will not be spending the
summer on the campus.
The proportion of, music
teachers with advanced degrees
is growing, he said, and
workshops of this type are a
means of providing more
training for them.

oriental artisits.
All works in the display will
be for sale. Each print or
drawing in the exhibit is
matted and labeled with
pertinent information.
The collection consists of
works from Japan,' China,
Thialand, India, Tibet and
Nepal and includes art by the
"old masters" of the 18th and
19th centuries-including
Hiroshigem, Hokusai,
Kuniyoshi and others.
Contemporary artisits, working
in the mediums of woodcuts,
serigraphs, lithographs and
mezzotints, will also be
represented.
Marson Ltd. specialized in
arranging exhibitions and sales
of oriental art at colleges,
museums and art centers
throughout the country. -Their
representative will be showing
the collection from 11 a.m. to
8 p.m. Thursday from 10 a.m.
to 5 p.m. Friday.
