Opera
workshop
in concert
Saturday
Scenes from five operas will be presented in a free concert
Saturday by the UNL Opera Workshop. Thr program, at 8 p.m. in
the Westbrook Music Building, is the finale in a week-long series of
performances. , .
About 40 students, under the direction of Richard Grace and
Roger Stephens, will present scenes from the Mozart operas 4 Cosi
fan Tutti," "Marriage of Figaro" and "Don Giovanni."
Scenes fromMenotti's "Old Maid and the Ihief and "Lucia de
Lammermoor" by Donizetti also will be sung. All selections will be
sung in English. .
The students have performed all week in schools in Nebraska
towns such as Beatrice, Wymore and Fairbury.
