Nelsova played in many Nebraska communities during her other residencies. Nelsova will play the popular concerto for cello and orchestra, "Concerto in A minor, Opus 33" by Saint-Saens. Conductor Emanuel Wishnow said that the orchestra was honored to have an artist of her stature appearing with them. Nelsova has appeared on major stages throughout America and Europe. The free concert will also feature the orchestra playing the overture to Auber's "Era Diavolo" and Tschaikovsky's "Romeo and Juliet Overture-Fantasy". A reception honoring Professor Wishnow and his wife will be held from 5:30 to 7 pjn. in the Nebraska Union. Wishnow will, retire in July after conducting the orchestra since 1 941 .
