All University Fund (AUF)
is once again sponsoring their
annual Spring Faculty Drive
April 2-23 to benefit the
Emeriti Association.
According to Sandi Huber,
cochairman for AUFs
residence hall drive, the
Emeriti Association was chosen
to help retired faculty
members living in poverty. All
funds solicited will be given to
this charity.
Huber said in addition to
aiding impoverished members,
funds will be given to Emeriti's
emergency fund, which assists
members in cases of sickness or
death.
In this fall's student drive,
AUF donated nearly $6,000 to
the Beatrice State Home,
Easter Seals Society and the
Kidney Foundation. Money
from last year's faculty fund
was . donated to Tutors of
Nebraska Indian Children.
AUF members are visiting
university departments to
encourage faculty members to
participate in this drive.
Huber added that
contributions to the Emeriti
Association can be made to the
All University Fund in care of
the Nebraska Union.
