Law College a moving experience The UNL Law College is on the move. Monday marked the start of the moving process as staff members began packing the 130,000 volume library for shipment to the new building on East Campus. According to Law College Assistant Dean Don Shaneyfelt, classes will be held in the new building on March 31. However, Shaneyfelt said much work remains to be done, adding that "it might be nip and tuck to get chairs in. the classrooms" by the 31st. Cecil Steward, Dean of the College of Architecture, reported that beginning this summer the present law college will be used by the architecture faculty "on an interim basis and in 'as is' condition." "We do not view it as a permanent petition" he said. Steward said the Architecture College plans to use the first and second floors, and will use all of the third floor for design studios. Other larger classrooms will be used for general university classes, Steward said. Shaneyfelt said he is looking forward to moving to the new building, and added that some new programs will be initiated after the move, including a service of visiting professionals to talk with students and answer questions.
