They proposed that state tax monies be used to support the bus program since it now incurs nearly $100,000 deficit and because "it isn't the student's fault that he has to take a course on East or City campus," Gustafson said. "It's a managerial error." They termed the alcohol on campus problem a "moot Issue." saying that petitions and campaigns have already proved unsuccessful. But they insisted that it should be an individual decision. No SOL candidates presently serve in the senate but they do not see it as a hindrance. "We won't have any taint of the present administration on our hands," Gustafson said. Gustafson also attacked the present administration for the new electoral rule requiring 500 signatures to file as a party saying that it favored the incumbents. Me said the USE party was the incumbent. "USL: is power hungry. There arc parts in the new rules which can only help them," Gustafson said. SOL has not taken a party position on the ASUN Constitutional Amendment.
