Action on future academic calendars was postponed by the
Faculty Senate Tuesday because of a lack of quorum. The calendar

Academic calendars at UNL and UNO, he said.
The current UNO calendar begins one week earlier and ends one
week later thai the UNL calendar, has a shorter fall semester than
spr ng n ester and the spring breaks do not coincide
Sturueon said there havebeen discussions with UNO, but sa.d
there has been no progress in" coordinating the calendars
"UNO is leary of the whole calendar question and do not want
to cut one week of their classes," he said.
The academic calendars, which are set as early as two years in
advance, could not be changed until the 1977-78 school year,
Sturgeon said. Bulletins for the 1976-77 year already are going to
press, he said.
