A simulated arrest for theft
Call it what you will - the clink, the tank, the
slammer - it's still jail. And that's a four-letter word
that spells depression, failure and fear.
Jail is a temporary ending point in a chain of
events, following a person's arrest for theft. What
happens from the time he is picked up to the time he
is locked up?
Last Friday, University Police and the Lincoln
Police Department gave a Daily Nebraskan
photographer, reporter and entertainment writer a
step-by-step journey through a simulated arrest.
