State Colleges and trie
University of Nebraska at
Omaha (UNO).
Rockwell estimated about
325 people will register. The
program began last Thursday,
with 233 people registered,
Rockwell said.
Fifteen authors will be guest
participants in the lessons
including Thomas Harris,
author of I'm OK-You're OK,
William Glasser, creator of
Designing Success Strategies
and Thomas Gordon, author of
Parent Effectiveness Training,
according to information
provided by NETCHE.
The course deals with
human relation problems in the
classroom and is aimed toward
practicing teachers who want
graduate credit, Rockwell said.
The course is funded
entirely by tuition and is not
affiliated with the State
University of Nebraska (SUN)
program, Rockwell said.
"The difference between
SUN and NETCHE, at least for
this particular program, is that
we're directed toward graduate
level students," Rockwell said.
"SUN appeals more to the
person who may not have a
college level education."
Credit requirements vary
from institution to institution,
according to Bill Raecke,
NETCHE assistant director.
