C r Thursday 12 p.m. -Model United Nations Luncheon - Union 242 12:15 p.m. -Dean Larsen-Luncheon - Union Pewter Room 12:30 p.m.-Placement - Union 243 p.m.-Inter Varsity Fellowship - Union doily The Student Alumni Association, in conjunction with the UNL Model United Nations, is sponsoring a fireside discussion with Christopher Basttiscombe, first secretary of the United Kingdom in Permanent Mission, and Iliro Shibuya, a member of the United Nations Secretariate. The discussion will be held tonight from 5:30 to 7:30 in Nebraska Union Main Lounge. The American Home Economics Association will meet tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Home Economics Bldg. 31. Housing Policy Committee will meet tonight at 5 p.m. at the Union. Students are invited to come and talk over issues and concerns involving policies in residence halls, fraternities, sororities or coops. A Chinese New Year Banquet will be held Saturday in the Union Ballroom at 7 p.m. Featured will be five-course Chinese dinner, a "kung-fu" movie and dancing. Tickets are available at a booth in the Union from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. daily. The banquet is sponsored by the Chinese Student Assoc. The deadline to apply foi degrees or certificates to be received at the end of second semester is Feb. 10. Apply at the Office of Registration and Records, Information Window, Administration Bldg., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
