Special report on the Interstate Commerce Commission and the Civil Aeronautics Board; a look at the economic power they host over the transportation industry and how they may need reforming. Ch. 6, 10:30 p.m.: Mister Roberts (movie, 1955). Classic stage adaptation of Navy comedy with Henry Fonda as Mr. Roberts, Jack Lemmon in Oscar-winning role as Ensign Pulver, and Jimmy Cagney as the psychotic Captain. Sunday Ch. 12 (ETV), 2:30 p.m.: Vieater In America: "The Seagull". Classic Chekhov drama with Blythe Danner as Nina and Frank Langella as Treplev. Ch. 6 & 10, 6:30 p.m.: Sullivan Years. Dick Cavett hosts this look at some of the best moments from 23 years of the late Ed Sullivan's Sunday night variety show. TV Aunt Hannah Ch. 12 (ETV), 7:30 p.m.: Masterpiece Vieater: TIte Higgler. First of four dramas on English "Country Matters", this one from A.E. Coppard's story. (Will be repeated Friday at 9:30 p.m.) Ch. 3, 9 p.m.: NBC News Special: The Nuclear Threeat to You. A program examining the ever increasing spread of nuclear power and the controls that may be necessary to prevent the use -of homemade atom bombs by terrorists. Also a look at the problem of disposing atomic debris. Monday Ch. 12 (ETV), 7 p.m.: An Eames Celebration. A look at the lives and worlds of Charles and Ray Eames, a multi-talented husband-wite team whose activities include architecture, painting, designing and filmaking. Tuesday Ch. 7, 7 p.m.: Death Be Not Proud (TV-movic)f. This one is supposed to be the ultimate tearjerker, with much more intelligence than Love Story or Brian's Song. Taken from John Gunther's true-life book. Besides, somewhere here on campus a young lady called and said her brother had a small part in it, so I thought I'd be nice and mention it. Ch. 12 (ETV), 7:30 p.m.: Ascent of Man. Part 5 of a series; this time describing the evolution of mathematics and astronomy. Ch. 6, 1 1 :30 p.m.: Marilyn (movie, 1963.) An interesting movie eulogy to Marilyn Monroe, produced shortly after her death. Included are rare scenes from an unfinished film she was working on at time of her death. Ch. 3, midnight: Tomorrow. Tom Snyder talks to famed strippers about the art of burlesque. Wednesday Ch. 12 (ETV), 7 p.m.: Arabs and Israelis. New series examining the basic problems found within the Mideast conflicts. This episode is entitled "Two Families." Ch. 12 (ETV), 8 p.m.: Honor Tlxy Treaty. Special Ch. 12 production examining the 1973 Wounded Knee occupation issues. With AIM leader Dennis Banks (not Russel Banks, as the TV Guide has it), Gladys Bisonette, and Buffy Sainte-Marie. Ch. 7, 10:30 p.m.: Wide World Special: In Search of Howard Hughes. A special program spanning the career of this aviator, film producer, idustralist and billionaire. Will feature film and newsreel clips, but expect a lot of talk. Friday Ch. 10, 8 p.m.: Dillinger (movie, 1973). Friday is a great movie day, starting with this gangster film from the macho world of director John Milius. With Warren Oates as Dillinger. Expect it to be cut considerably. Ch. 6, 10:30 p.m.: Giant (movie, 1956.) A long, long 50s, cinemascope extravaganza about the sprawling lives of Texas oilmen and ranchers. With Rock Hudson, Liz Taylor and James Dean, in his last movie role. Expect to stay up till 3 a.m. if you want to watch all of this classic. Ch. 4 (cable), 10:30 p.m.: Sante Fe Trail (movie, 1940.) For the less adventurous there's this big Warner Bros, western with dashing Errol Flynn as general Jeb Stuart and Flynn's perennial co-star, Olivia dc Haviland, as his sweetheart: Sculptures, lithographs showing at Sheldon Smooth marble and wood sculptures by Dan Whetstone are on exhibit and sale through Feb. 23 at Sheldon Art Gallery. Whetstone, who has a studio in Omaha, studied under Gordon Newell at the Monterey Sculpture Center. In order to be close to his source of marble, he lived in Marble, Colorado. Carl Sesto's photographs, also on display, are delicate screenless lithographs of rock formations. The process does not involve any intermediary print process in the progression from original to final print. Contemporary lithographs by three artists-Stephen Antonakos, John Himmelfarb and Don Eddy-will be on exhibit until Feb. 23.
