CA1S has been boycotting the Office of Minority Affairs; the boycott was sparked by the resignation of Indian counselor Karen Buller, last May. CAIS members Thursday asked the FAB for $4,895 for a spring pow wow. Funds for the past four pow wows came from the university administration, CAIS president Charles LaPointe said. He said the CAIS does not expect to receive administration funds this year because of the boycott. FAB member Debbie Coe said the board could not appropriate funds for the pow wow without knowing all the circumstances involved. In other FAB action, Don Wesely asked for an audit report from the university administration for Fund A, sections one and two. Section one includes all student organizations. Section two includes employes, such as the publications adviser, whose salaries can be varied. The FAB would like to examine the audits and recommend funds for the various groups, he said. According to FAB member Jim Lewis, the UNL Rowing Club has risen to a level of prestige and competence and is a standout among sports and recreation clubs at UNL. The FAB will send a letter to Bob Devaney, Athletic director, recommending support for the rowing club from the Athletic Dept. In a letter, Devaney said the Athletic Dept. could not support the rowing club because it is not a Big-8 sport. The University of Nebraska Rifle Team asked for $10,681 out of the FAB contingency fund to purchase its own equipment. All Rifle Club supplies have been given by the Army ROTC Department. Funds for travel to rifle meets were cut off by the UNL Athletic Dept. this year, Tsuji said. The FAB deferred its decision to next week's meeting. Football ticket 'equality' asked UNL football ticket policy should be the same for both students and faculty, the Fees and Fines Committee of the Council on Student Life (CSL) reported Thursday evening. The committee recommended equal treatment in confiscating illegally-used football tickets for all ticket holders. The report defined "equality" as "either everyone entering the stadium be checked or no one be checked" for identification. The policy is not to apply to ticket prices, members reported. In other business, Barb Whitman, chairwoman of the Campus Police Advisory Board, said the board overlapped with ASUN and other campus committees in responsibilities. She said most complaints brought before her committee concern parking, which could be put under the jurisdiction of the Parking Advisory Board. Whitman suggested that her committee be suspended or combined with the parking board. CSL members recommended the matter be referred to a study group which is investigating campus committees and overlapping responsibilities. Other committees overlap with the Campus Police Advisory Board, council member Dave Howlett said. He said two standing committees and the campus police board, could investigate the hitercampus bus situation but a special "ad-hoc committee on bus service" was appointed by ASUN Wednesday. Steve Eggland proposed that CSL meet only on the first and third Thursdays of each month, rather than weekly. He said he did not think the agenda warrants weekly meetings and suggested that additional meetings could be called. Members approved the proposal. In other business, Michelle Schmal was appointed as a student membef of the Publications Board and clarifications in the Student Handbook for 1975-76 were proposed. doily ne Editor-in-chief: Wei Albers.
