" Work began in June Members of Campus Crusade for Christ began in June 1974 to get approval for McDowell's campus speeches. Jack Guthrie, business officer of the Development Center for Student Organization and Activities, met with the president ana campus director of the local Campus Crusade for Christ in June to explain the NU Board of Regent's policy concerning religious activities on the UNL campus. The NU Board of Regents allows the study of religion when it assumes a secular, philosophical, historical, or cultural content, and will not allow UNL to be used for activities where religious worship or testimony is a factor. Sponsoring groups conscientious Guthrie said he is confident that all scheduled activities will adhere to the regent's policy. He said the groups sponsoring the program have been extremely conscientious in working with him, and within every guideline so that they don't jeopardize their campus standing. Groups using UNL buildings must provide their own plumber, custodian, and electrician if one is not normally on duty during the meeting time. The regular staff of the Nebraska Union will be on duty but Campus Crusade for Christ will hire a plumber, electrician and custodian for the coliseum. The regular campus police staff will be in the area both nights during the scheduled 90-minute programs. s come in a great variety of sizes, shapes, designs -plain or fancy. The $1 would be a social fee to be split between RHA and dorm governments. Marie Hansen, coordinator for residence hall programs, said Housing Director Richard Armstrong, wants recommendations about dorm contracts soon. The dorm contracts must be at the printers by February 10. Tim Evensen, RHA president, explained that the money would be put in the RHA general fund for use for all floors. Evensen also said that the proposed new dorm contract gives a resident three options if a roommate moves out-he can find another roommate (within two wctks), the Housing office will assign a roommate or he will be moved to another room (on the same floor.) In other business, Evensen said RHA week will be the second week in April and he suggested that dorm governments begin plans soon. The purpose of RHA week, according to Evensen, is to "promote the dorms and to encourage students to move in." presents singer guitarist of the Mike Douglas Show 8:00 to 12:30 Wednesday thru Saturday Cattman's Lounqe 10th S ; STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS i S Budget forms to request student fees J from Fees Allocation Board are available in Rm. 200 Nebraska Union. 0 4h Forms are due Feb. 1 7th A S Workshop to explain forms will be held Feb. 9th, 7:00 p.m, in Union. & 9 0 m m page 2 daily nebraskan Room will be posted. friday, January 24, 1975
