Baha'i faith
explored
at meeting
The Baha'i Assoc., a student
group organized to promote the
ideas of the Baha'i world faith, will
sponsor a display, film and speak
ers in the Nebraska Union Thurs
day at 7:30 p.m.
Marsha Mather, a member of
the association, will speak, fol
lowed by a CBS film entitled "And
His Name Shall Be One," and an
informal question and answer
period.
Linda Meyer, secretary of the
club, said there was no problem in
reserving the room in the Union,
because "it won't be a religious
worship service, it will be an
information night for people inter
ested in finding out about the
Baha'i faith."
According to NU Board of
Regents policy, religious groups
may not use University property to
promote any one religious belief.
The policy does allow discussion
groups, religion in course study
and within private quarters on
campus and moments of nonsec
tarlan silent meditation at
University functions.
This presentation will be the first
in a series of meetings conducted
to inform people of the Baha'i faith
and will run in conjunction with
Monday meetings also conducted
at 7:30 p.m. in the Union, Meyer
said.
