Committee description approved
A description of the professional
conduct committee and a revised
description of the academic freedom and
tenure committee was submitted to the
UNL Faculty Senate and approved at
Tuesday's meeting. '
The professional conduct committee
will advise appropriate personnel on
professional teaching standards and
investigate violations of professional
conduct, the report stated.
The committee will consist ot six
tenured faculty members serving a term
of three years. Two of the members will
be elected by the Senate.
The academic freedom and tenure
committee will investigate any impor
tant action or policy relating to academic
freedom and tenure at UNL, according
to the report.
This will also be a six-member
committee, two members elected by the
Senate and membership will be three
years.
The next Senate meeting is scheduled
for Dec. 12.
