There were more han 585 shells (light racing boats) with 2,500 men and women powering them down the long, winding river that is crossed by seven bridges. i imi ontorpH in twn of the seventeen categories. One of those events was the heavyweight eight man shell; entered for the first time in UNL crew history. . Using a newly purchased shell, the heavyweight eight finished 10th out of 54 places. The race was so close that only 3.5 seconds separated Nebraska from fifth place. ,ml ,e Facing a strong headwind, UNL s lightweight four finished 20th out of 49 in their event. l The UNL crew is coached . by Ron Rusthoven.
