Vemeer Quartet
at NU

The Vermeer String Quartet
will be in residence on campus
from June 16-18. During this
time members of the quartet
will be giving lectures, coach
ing sessions and conducting
masters classes in the West
brook music building.
The quartet will give a public
concert at Kimball Recital Hall
on Sunday, June 16, at 3:00
p.m. This concert is open to the
public. Any summer school
student is invited to attend the
lectures and classes conducted
by members of this quartet.

place for Mark Brown, a senior
majoring in pre-law, to study
without interruption.

series: Kenneth Clark's "Pio
neers of Modern Painting" and
the films of Marlon Brando.
The painters who will be
featured include Paul Cezanne,
Eduoard Manet, Claude Monet,
Edvard Munch, lWnri Rous
seau and Georges Seurat.
These films will be shown on
Sundays' at 3:00 p.m. and
Tuesday-ftt;-iMM)-p-.-fii.; Ad
mission is free.
The first Marlon Brando film
to be shown will be "The Men".
This film, as the other Brando
films, will be shown on Fridays
and Saturdays at 7:00 and 9:00
p.m. Admission is $1.25. The
final film in this series will be
"The Last Tango in Paris,"
Women's P.E. classes open
Students wishing to gain
graduate hours in women's
physical education may register
this summer for workshops in
gymnastics, aerobic exercise
and track and field.
Students may register for
these classes on the first day of
each workshop. The
gymnastics workshop begins
June 17, The Theory and
Practice of Aerobic Fxerciue
begins June 24 and the track
and field workshop begins July
1.
