Senior checks for juniors esq iaH Students planning on graduating within three semesters should have their degree requirements checked, according to Shirley Thornsen, in the UNL Office of Registration and Records. Checking consists of reviewing the records of seniors or juniors to determine what courses they may lack for yrauuatiun. oncCrCS ore d free at the request of the student. He must go to the Information Window in the Administration, Bldg. for the check. Students who are within three semesters of graduation or have earned all but the last 45 or 50 semester hours of credit are eligible tor the check. Students requesting to have their requirements checked during the second semester of their junior year would have a long wait for the results, as current seniors receive priority, Thornsen said. Otherwise, requirements are checked on a first come, first serve basis. "Students must file an application for a degrre eariy in the term in which they graduate," she added. Upon applying for a request for a degree, the student will receive his second check. July 1974 graduates must file between May 13-June 12. August 1974 graduates should file by July 19, 1974.
